History around Hitler, World War II and Obersalzberg is documented here. Lots of documents and pictures. Also very interesting, the access to the old bunker system, but only a small part. A lot is still under construction

The new exhibition opened in September 2023. The idyllic image of the Obersalzberg created by the Nazis is placed in the context of their criminal reign. The invasion of Poland, the deportation of Hungarian Jews and the Euthanasia program were planned here. In between there were photo opportunities of the Nazi leaders with school classes and children. Luxurious parties were celebrated until shortly before the end of the war, while millions of people died in the war. Visitors who visit the Obersalzberg because of its more recent history should definitely visit the exhibition. It decodes the methods of the propaganda machine.
