Ile Quarry is located in Mingan Archipelago National Park. This is located in the east of the province of Quebec around the town of Havre-Saint-Pierre. However, the protected area not only includes the islands (the so-called Mingan archipelago), but also a narrow strip of the mainland. The national park was founded in 1984 and has an area of 151 km ², covering a distance of 150 km on the north bank of the St. Lawrence River.
The Île Quarry you can hike partly on wooden jetties or go for a walk on the stone beach. Leaving the official routes is not permitted. The main attraction of the island are, of course, the monoliths that are located on the southeastern shore.
