The nature reserve Großer Pfahl und Pfahlriegel St. Antoniuspfahl is a wonderful destination for the whole family. There is a lot to discover here on various circular routes and an educational trail with well-made stations and informative display boards. Definitely worth seeing and rightly one of the most beautiful geotopes in Bavaria.

Very impressive rock formations and scenically quite idyllic, despite the direct proximity to Viechtach. You can run various longer and shorter distances. I recommend the approx. 2.8 km long circular route. You pass the pile with its rocks and the rehabilitated quarry. There are a few but not too many meters of altitude to overcome, mostly with a slight incline. Overall easy and well signposted route.
