    The Maibacher Kirchweg was also used earlier by the Celts and then by the Romans as a shortcut from the Altkönig via Usingen, Maibach, Münster to Butzbach. The Forbach, which has its source above Hubertus, runs in the meadow, then continues to Wiesental and Ziegenberg, where the Forbach and the Maibacher Kirchweg cross it is nice to take a break, unfortunately without a bench or shelter where you can enjoy the peace and quiet. Several hiking trails also lead past this point and even the circular hiking trail "Schinderhanespfad" Wetzlar - Hausberg - Frankfurt - Großer Feldberg - Wetzlar

        Wiesental belongs to the Münster / Butzbach district and is eight kilometers south of the core town of Butzbach in the wooded foothills of the eastern Hintertaunus.
        Wiesental was created in 1948 in the forest area of the then municipality of Münster as a settlement for people displaced from the Sudetenland on the border to the area of the south-eastern neighboring municipality of Fauerbach vor der Höhe.
