The so-called "Schwerinswinkel" lies between Friedland and Anklam, because the Counts of Schwerin owned more than a dozen estates in this area. This also included Sophienhof, which for many years served as an outwork for the large nearby Putzar estate. At the end of the 19th century, the Counts of Schwerin had an older building from the 18th century converted in Sophienhof. The manor house was given its present form by adding a tower, a bay window and a balcony. The last owner before the expropriation in the course of the land reform after 1945 was Margarete Countess of Schwerin. The listed manor house stood empty for many years and was badly damaged when the current owners took over the building in the 1990s. Since then, the renovation of the interior has almost been completed, and the renovation of the outer facade has now begun. The manor house is surrounded by a 5-hectare park, which looks very well-tended today. The park and the manor house are enclosed by a park wall. A few buildings from the former estate, which were built at the end of the 19th century, have been preserved. A katen shows the initials G.G.v.S. 1893.
