After you have come to the top of the Dam and caught your first sight of the glacial lake hiding deep within the huge crater at the bottom of Langtang Lirung 7227m turn back on yourself.

DO NOT try and cross on any stones that have water on them - it is extremely dangerous and will result in your slipping off into the waterfall.

If you head down stream before the waterfall drops down steeply towards Kyangjin Gumba there are several large stones which lead to some smaller stones - take care when crossing and you will get to the other side.

A short, steep and dusty scramble will see you on the ridge that is closest to the lake.

Head towards the glacier ahead with Kyangjin Gumba on your right and the lake on your left
