How exactly this city is written, even the Irishman does not know for sure: Caherciveen, Cahersiveen or Cahirciveen — all this is possible. However, this small, picturesque town with great views of Valentia Harbour is one of the most pristine on the Ring of Kerry. In the picturesque village centre you can enjoy a tasty breakfast (or another snack) and then continue your bike tour refreshed.

The secret capital of the Iveragh Peninsula, Cahersiveen is full of small shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. At the harbour is a local history museum and on the other side of the river the castle ruins and two Celtic stone forts are worth a visit.
