The Le Cesine Nature Reserve is a protected area located in the province of Lecce. It is one of the last wetlands on the Adriatic coast, where there are two brackish ponds separated from the sea by sand dunes. It houses a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna, is managed by the WWF and can be visited every day of the year only accompanied by the guides of the reserve and with reservations required.

Follow the forest path on the left to reach the panoramic point 'Ponte Carlo'. This is an easy off-road, less than 1.5 km long (round trip), with fine gravel and sandy terrain.
