The Tauber is a river in southern Germany on both sides of the border between Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. It rises at the western foot of the Frankenhöhe, flows in a northwesterly direction for about 130 km through the Franconia region and flows into the Main from the left and southeast in Wertheim.

The Tauber is an approximately 133 kilometer long river in southern Germany. It rises near Weikersheim in Baden-Württemberg and then flows through the picturesque Taubertal. The river passes towns and communities such as Bad Mergentheim, Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Wertheim before finally flowing into the Main.

The Taubertal is known for its charming landscape, with rolling hills, vineyards and idyllic villages. The Tauber River itself offers opportunities for leisure activities such as hiking, cycling and boating.
