This stage leads through the lonely plateaus of Margeride. The harsh climate makes only livestock seem agriculturally worthwhile here. Often you cross small forest areas that are becoming denser around Le Sauvage. On the Chapelle St-Roch, on the border of the Haute-Loire and Lozère, we have reached one of the highest points of the entire French Jacob's Way - with a magnificent 180 degree view down to Lozère.
Many hikers met on a great stretch of road. The destination is at the highest point of the tour and can therefore be quite fresh in the evening and in the morning. Nice people from all over Europe met.
