        The legends hiking trail begins at the hiking car park on the road between Zella-Mehlis and Oberschönau at the foot of the Ruppberg and ends at the summit. It is almost 1.5 km long and the boards with the legends offer the opportunity to take a breather every now and then.

          The trail of legends can be walked very nicely from the parking lot up to Ruppberg. And the legends are of course very interesting for the kiddies. I now know that I should ALWAYS tell someone "Health" until they stop sneezing. Check it out for yourself.

Signs along the trail tell of old legends—so it's also suitable for children, but little ones will certainly need some motivation to make the effort to climb Ruppberg, as there are no buses ;-)
