    The Otheensche Kreek is a fairly wide creek in Zeeland Flanders, named after the village of Othene that has since been absorbed by Terneuzen. The northern part of the Otheensche kreek is currently located in the city of Terneuzen.
    The Otheensche kreek once started as the Notense Geul, an outlet of the Honte.
    The Otheensche kreek has become increasingly fresh over the years and is currently a reservoir for fresh water. The creek covers approximately 100 hectares and is on average three meters deep, with a six-meter well here and there. Because the creek is considered a swimming water, there is more control over the quality of the water, which only increases the quality of the water, which also benefits the fish population. In this way, the creek is also suitable as a fishing water.

    The Otheensche kreek is divided in two by the Kraagbrug.
