In the collective imagination, the Stargate from the 1994 film of the same name is a portal that still belongs to the realm of science fiction and that allows travel to other planets, crossing galaxies in a wormhole.
The "Stargate" we are referring to here is a gigantic megalith that formed naturally in the peperino stone and that - due to the enormous heart-shaped hole in the middle - is reminiscent of the portal from the film. It is believed that it was created by a small fireball that pierced the large rock before it had completely cooled. Then the wind, the rain and man shaped it into what we see today.
There is no marked path to it and the passage through private property was blocked by the owner, so if you want to get there, you have to find a path between the rocks, almost like in a video game, until you reach this wonder.
