The Baroque fountain was built in 1665 and features the stone figure of Dietmar the Follower, the legendary founder of the city. The statue was created by the Ried sculptor Veit Adam Vogl, a contemporary of the renowned Baroque artist Thomas Schwanthaler.

A beautiful statue stands in the main square of Ried im Innkreis! As do many other sights, such as the parish church, which houses sculptures by the Schwanthaler family, the Museum of Folklore, and other buildings! Guided tours are also available! Highly recommended!
