Fast and open at the top, becoming more narrow singletrack further down, and ending in a series of hugely fun switchbacks, Sticks Pass (the Ullswater side as a descent from west to east) is one of the many, many descent highlights in the Lakes.

Beware though, there are a few fords and more than a couple of corners which you'll likely come a cropper on if you hurtle in to them too fast!

A true highlight decent down a clearly marked trail. A trail of thirds, starting with wide open exposed summit top trail leading into traversing meadow singletrack, finishing with steep, rocky and unforgiving switchbacks down a scree slope to finish. Everything a mountainbiker could want and more.
