Built in the 16th century, the Torre del Prezzemolo is a watchtower that was part of the coastal defense system of Cagliari. Today it is open to visitors and offers a spectacular view of the city and the Golfo degli Angeli. The tower can be reached via a panoramic path that starts from the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Bonaria and winds along the hill. The hike is not too demanding but requires some care due to the steep climbs and slippery sections.

After a while, the Torre del Prezzemolo, a proud watchtower from the 16th century, rises in front of you. Once a strategic point in Cagliari's coastal defense system, today it stands as a silent witness to a bygone era when brave guards defended the coast against impending dangers.

Although the route to the tower is not overly challenging, your calves will be tested by the steep climbs and your feet by the occasional slippery sections. But the effort is worth it. When you enter the tower, you will see a view that is simply breathtaking. A panorama over Cagliari, the glittering Golfo degli Angeli and the endless Mediterranean. A feeling of freedom and space that can hardly be put into words.
