La Asomada castle is located in the municipality of Murcia, nestled in a strategic location: a large mountainous elevation known as Cabezo del Puerto that rises 532 m above sea level, at whose feet is the Puerto de la Cadena , one of the mountain passes that, since ancient times, connect the Campo de Cartagena and the Huerta de Murcia.

A beautiful route with great views of Murcia and the Mar Menor. It is very well signposted except for the last section, but it is easy to get to. There are several routes of different difficulties.
