                      The Great Plön Lake is not only the largest lake in Schleswig-Holstein, but also the deepest at 56 meters. The Schwentine River flows through the lake. The island of Olsburg lies in the lake. It is said to be the historical origin of Plön. The fortified castle and settlement complex was built around the 8th century and was probably still accessible by land at that time because the water level was still low.

                      In addition to the excursion boats, you can of course also simply gaze out over the large lake from the shore or choose the Parnaß Tower in Plön. With the cries of seagulls and the wind, you get a real coastal feeling here.
