Since the spring of 2018, the longest wooden bench in Hesse (34.5 meters long) stands right here on the Waldsee (attention, superlative!). It was made from a single Douglas fir from the area and it will probably never happen again, that one comes here at the forest lake over and no seat finds more :-)

The Douglas fir measures 35.20 meters and has placed Schwalbacher Waldarbeiter in length on the embankment of the Waldsee, making it the "longest bench in Hesse". In the future, visitors to the spa town will be able to settle there on the dozen and enjoy the view of the water and the forest.
