Lake Lugano, also known as Ceresio, is acclaimed as one of the most beautiful of the pre-Alpine lakes.
Its waters mainly extend into Swiss territory, in the Canton of Ticino, but the north-east and south-west ends bathe the territories of the provinces of Como and Varese respectively.

I recommend the complete tour of Lake Lugano by bike, leaving the car in one of the towns overlooking Ceresio you can complete the tour in between 4 and 8 hours. Continuing to cross the various borders between Italy and Switzerland several times, the tour offers ever-changing and breathtaking scenery
