The weather vane says 1791, but that doesn't mean that the mill is actually that old.
The mill is a so-called customs mill, which means that all farmers were welcome to have their flour milled there for a fee. A skilled miller and many millers' apprentices worked here. The mill was in operation until the mid-1950s. In the last 20 years it was even powered by a motor. It was renovated in 1993 and has been completely intact since then.
