When the diocese of Antwerp was founded in 1559, the church was elevated to a cathedral. The current interior shows traces of different periods of its history, with baroque altarpieces, neo-Gothic chapels and an abundance of statues, paintings and other works of art. Rubens' Descent from the Cross in particular attracts many tourists. The cathedral has undergone restorations both inside and out over the past 50 years, so visitors can now enjoy a beautiful church in excellent condition.

Nice church, but the entrance fee of 12 euros wasn't worth it for me to go in. You can take a quick look in front of the ticket counter: it looks rather simple, nothing you haven't seen elsewhere
According to Google, the church still has a crypt and some beautiful sacred art for art lovers.
