A nice little round to the Roland arch. The old bridge lets you travel a little bit into the past. Too bad, there was a closed party up at the Rolandsbogen and it was closed from the viewing platform.

The route is really nice, but be careful when it rains! On the last section down to the Rhine there is a section with cobblestones. With hiking boots with relatively rigid soles and a rough profile it can be slippery and there is hardly any way to hold on. We walked very slowly and carefully and where possible we walked along the edge of the path.
