Practically the entrance to the old town, at least if you come from above, then there is a great view through the archway through the sloping street. The tower itself is an imposing structure.

The Upper Gate is the former city gate to the east. He is the only surviving of formerly three gate towers in the historic old town. The tower is 40 meters high and from the top you have a beautiful view of the city and the Neckar. The tower houses a museum on the history of the city.
The gate tower is open daily for visitors from 11am to 5pm. From November to March, but only during the week. From Monday to Friday admission is free, at the weekend you pay one euro.
