          Křížová věž (Rabenstein) is the name of a slender sandstone rock tower protruding from the pine forest of the northeastern foothills of Trávnický vrch (Glasertberg) directly above the southern end of the town of Naděje (Hope). After the old German name it is sometimes called Krkavčí skála or Havraní skála (Rabenstein), but most often the name Křížová věž (Cross Tower) is used after the cross that stands on its summit.
          The iron cross on the top of the rock is said to have been installed in 1833 by Messrs.schicht and Wiesner, factory owners in Antonínovo Údolí (Antonietal). At the end of the 19th century, an alfalfa tree shone for people here, which the local weaver Josef Weiss, who lived under the tower, carried up every day at dusk. He kept the light here for over thirty years. Although the rock is quite difficult to climb, it has always been possible to carry the light up, even in winter. After his death, no one took up this custom anymore, although in the 1920s a light still shone here at least at Easter; After 1945 this custom also died out and later someone threw the cross down from the rock. It was not until 1978 that it was reattached to its original location on the rock summit. The rock is surrounded by legends about lost hikers or couples in unhappy love.
