          A very nice, solid retreat full of experiences. The bacon/cheese/houseleek platter with a very simple, solid Tyrolean house wine is simply unfussy. It is very nice to be among the locals. The talks are simply a valuable experience.

                We didn't eat anything, but we had a nice chat and had a good drink. The innkeeper said “the cows have run away, so I’m making honey now”. So we took some more honey with us. Nice rest area.

                  Very nice and down-to-earth hut, in a positive sense, run by a Waaler. There are cool drinks, snack platters and good, authentic conversations with the Waaler. Simple, but super good! Inconspicuously located on the Ulfaser Waalweg, so mostly very relaxed. 👍☺️

                      From St. Leonhard, take the bus to Moos. Continue by hiking bus to the Kratzegg parking lot. The first stage leads to the Ulfas Alm. On Mondays (a day of rest), the Waalerhütte is lonely and quiet. The descent to St. Leonhard is steep and long.
