In the 18th century, the historic Sielhof was the manor house of the von-Eucken-Addenhausen family. Today it offers its guests entertainment and relaxation in a cozy atmosphere. It was extensively restored and rebuilt with great attention to detail and is one of the most beautiful buildings in all of East Frisia. (Source Municipality of Neuharlingersiel)

In 1755, Siebelt Frerich Eymen began construction of the "Warfe," named after the farm on whose site this stone house was built. The property was severely damaged in the terrible Blasius flood of 1825. Udo Hillrich Eucken, Drost of Esens, acquired the property that same year. His grandson, His Excellency Dr. Georg von Eucken, legal scholar and Grand Ducal Oldenburg Ambassador to the Prussian Court, converted the old building into the present Sielhof with great attention to detail around 1900, serving as the manor house of the von Eucken-Addenhausen manor. In 1967, the family opened the Sielhof to the public as a restaurant. The faithfully renovated castle has shone in its former glory since its reopening by the spa association in 1992 after 20 months of renovation. Don't leave this house without seeing the Rococo room with its incredibly beautiful ceiling painting, the original doors, the open tiled fireplace, the unique Bible tile wall, and the Christian Petersen exhibition.
