On the old hunting map from the 16th century, the two forests were connected by a strip of trees (countryside).
From the map of 1701, this strip of rock was no longer there.
I.e. it was made into arable land.
There was probably a ditch between the two forests, so that you could only drive on the road (Landhege).
The street was closed by a bolt. This was a mighty wooden gate.
The bar was the border crossing from the Beihege (Hachtel) to the Landhege (Heimberg).
The hunting card is probably from the 16th century. The 2nd map shows part of the enclosure.

The Heimberger Riegel and Landturm can be seen from both maps.
You can see the road at the Heimberger Landturm leading into the Beihege to Wildentierbach.
On the other hand, the road leads through the Heimberger Riegl in the Beihege to Hachtel.
You can also see that the enclosures near Wildentierbach and those near Hachtel were separated by the Heimberger and Wildentierbach valleys.
