The picturesque Borghetto is one of the most beautiful towns in Italy and is known far beyond its borders for its cuisine and excellent restaurants. The former fortified village, founded around 1400, brought prosperity to the community in the Middle Ages thanks to dozens of mills and water wheels (some of which are still in operation today).
