Castle church and mausoleum (right), the mausoleum was built in 1805.
Today it is used by the RUK (Rumpenheim Kultur) association for events.

The slate-roofed baroque church was built according to a design by C.P. Diede from Hanau and from the
Funded by the local church. It was originally a village church of the Rumpenheimer, which since 1541 the Lutheran and
adhering to the reformed faith since 1595. Only after the expansion of the Rumpenheimer Schloss (1781-1805)
the church also became the "castle church", since it has stood in the middle of the castle garden since 1838. Nonetheless, took there too
the landgrave family and the servants take part in the worship services, and this has given the church many benefits
secured to the lock. However, in 1894 pastor Samuel Eck refused the imperial daughter and the landgrave from the
Rumpenheimer Schloss the Last Supper in their private chambers. He referred to the Scriptures, which emphasize
that within the Christian community the differences between rich and poor should not play a role.

The baroque, unplastered hall church was built between 1756 and 1761. It was only called "Schlosskirche" after the expansion of Rumpenheim Castle because it is in the middle of the castle park. The nave, closed on three sides in the south, is covered with a gable roof, the church tower in the north with a stepped dome. Above the lintel of the portal in the church tower is the coat of arms of the Electorate of Hesse. To the south of the church is the burial place of the Landgraviate of Hessen-Kassel zu Rumpenheim, which is decorated with a figure of Christ by Pietro Tacca. This is where the members of the landgrave family were transferred from the mausoleum in 1964.
