About 200 species of birds live here, including ducks, geese and waders. Part of the lagoon is protected and owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral, the other 62 hectares serve as a hunting reserve. In June and July, when sea kale, clover and wild thyme bloom, the whole Hâble is in bright purple and yellow colours.

Very beautiful area with lots of watering holes.

Just be careful with the fake ducks on the water. Unfortunately, they are used to attract real ducks to hunt... :-(
