MetLife Stadium is a football stadium in the US Meadowlands Sports Complex in the state of New Jersey. It is owned and operated by the two NFL franchises New York Giants and New York Jets. The new building for 1.6 billion US dollars replaced the now demolished, directly adjacent Giants Stadium in 2010. The sports arena, which is completely financed by the two teams, has a capacity of 82,500 spectators after the AT&T Stadium of the Dallas Cowboys, which can be expanded to over 105,000 seats for football, the second largest venue in the National Football League.
