A pilgrim monument stands here for the many people who have walked the Camino for countless generations to get to the grave of the Apostle JAMES in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia. But the artist did not depict a pilgrim in this monument, but limited himself symbolically to a pair of oversized hiking boots that stand on the base - which is of course decorated with the symbol of the shell, the symbol of the Way of St. James par excellence - and is a testimony to the - sometimes seemingly endless – Allow kilometers of walking.
