History:
In 1617, Hans Mathes von Giech allowed the Demmelsdorfer and Zeckendorfer Jews to create a cemetery. It was also occupied by the following surrounding Jewish communities.
The cemetery, now 46.70 ares, was expanded in 1748. Today there are about 598 tombstones (Mazewot) that were documented from 1991 to 1993. The oldest tombstone is from 1637.

The Jewish cemetery Zeckendorf in Zeckendorf was built around 1617. The cemetery is located in a forest area on a hill between Zeckendorf and Demmelsdorf. Today there are still around 598 tombstones (Mazewot). The oldest tombstone is from 1637.
The gate is locked so that the cemetery can only be seen from the outside.
