"Chill desired" - so it is written on the homepage of this slightly different campsite. That should not be a problem. Because here you do not even need to build a tent (and therefore do not lug it). Instead, you can sit comfortably in front of your "own" trailer on the green meadow or a few feet further your feet dangle in the cool Ruhr. Bed linen and kitchenware are provided, a barbecue can be rented, and showers and toilets are available in the building next door. You basically have to worry about almost nothing. By the way, every construction vehicle is named after an Essen district. Ruhrpott atmosphere at its best.

The trailers can accommodate two to four people, one night starts from 40 euros. The only drawback: The trailer are rented only over the weekend. If you do not want to stay that long, plan your night better during the week. In the camping garden you can also build your tent. Less glamorous, the place is still really nice and should you decide to camp, the fun costs only eight euros.
