An absolutely worth seeing place of pilgrimage with the imposing baroque basilica Vierzehnheiligen, you should definitely take the time to visit it. Opening times of the basilica in summer (May 1st - September 30th) from 6.30 a.m. to 7 p.m. The 14 holy helpers in need are three bishops, three knights, three young men, three virgins, an abbot and Christopher with the baby Jesus. According to tradition, they should have appeared in 1446 to the shepherd boy Hermann Leicht on the grounds of the former Frankenthal estate.

The baroque pilgrimage basilica Vierzehnheiligen was built by the famous architect Balthasar Neumann and was only extensively renovated a few years ago. From the 15th century to the present day pilgrims have sought Fourteen Saints, one of the best-known places of pilgrimage, to ask for the protection of the 14 relief workers.
The "place of grace Fourteen Saints". In a meadow over 500 years ago, a shepherd had an appearance that was to become the cornerstone for one of Bavaria's most famous pilgrimage churches. The basilica was built at the end of the 18th century - it is one of the most important baroque buildings in Bavaria.
The place of pilgrimage Vierzehnheiligen is on the Jakobsweg. The Way of St. James (Spanish: Camino de Santiago) refers to the pilgrimage route to the tomb of the apostle James. The tomb is in Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
