It is a large farmhouse with a set of buildings resulting from successive reforms and extensions. The old work is of masonry with modern brick additions. Of note is a walled tower with an atalus base and the material, stones and mortar, distributed in rows. The roofs of the farmhouse, with tiles, are on two sides. The environment was affected by a large fire that destroyed a large radius of the forested surface of the district.
the Mas de Genessies has been the seat of the Jardí family since 1312 and has remained in the family through nineteen generations. When Vandellòs became independent, the Mas de Genessies became administratively dependent on it. The first known member of the lineage was Domènec Jardí, farmer, inhabitant of the "villa del castell de Tiviça", who bought a piece of land and built a farmhouse there. Successive marriages enlarged the property and houses were built there. In 1381 Pere Jardí added to his surname the toponym of Genessies, written Genexia and then Genexies, until reaching the current form. The private archive of the house is exceptionally complete and allows you to see its evolution and the history of its inhabitants.
It is also the favorite point for hikers who want to climb the Mola de Genessies and interesting circular excursions can be made.
