The double-towered landmark of the city of Wemding goes back to a vow by Mangold I von Wörth. From 1030 construction of a probably three-aisled, cruciform basilica. Over the centuries, several renovations and extensions were made under changing patrons. The showpiece of today's furnishings is the mighty baroque high altar (1630-33) by the sculptor Augustin Manasser from Donauwörth. Also worth seeing are the stucco marble side altars (1713) from the workshop of Dominikus Zimmermann and a valuable fresco depicting the stands on the south. Choir wall around 1450.
