An attraction that often goes unnoticed (because next to the beautiful pond with its animals).
There is an explanatory plaque on a flat stone pedestal in the meadow (rather hidden by a weeping willow in summer) - with the following text:
"The honor of NATURE - This pillar was created on the basis of an initiative of the two ornithological working groups of the Ludwigshafen adult education center. - The costs were shared between industry, medium-sized companies, banks and other institutions, nature-loving associations, many private individuals and the Rhineland-Palatinate Nature and Environment Foundation. - The reliefs on the column, which symbolically draw attention to the donors, are intended to indicate the careful handling of the local landscape and its flora and fauna. - November 8, 2001”
In addition to the numerous motifs, the following words are also engraved on the beautiful stone column:
On the side with the sundial: "To the glory of nature // Much is lost in the world because it is lost too quickly. Wolfgang von Goethe"
On the other hand: "Protect wildlife, protect the landscape"
There are also 2 stone benches (without backrest).
