The fountain sculpture by Harry Seeholzer is reminiscent of the legend, which reports how the people of Erding tried to "push" the city tower closer to the church of St. Johannes in the 15th century in order to save money for their own church tower. By artist Harry S. The sculpture is intended to commemorate the Erding legend. After the construction of the nave, the people of Erding ran out of money, preventing the church tower from being erected. They attempted to push the town tower over to the church. Today, the town tower on Schrannenplatz, next to St. Johann's Church, still serves as a bell tower. The sculpture is connected to a fountain; the arch of water is intended to represent a gate, indicating that Erding was entered through a city gate. The sculpture group was inaugurated in 2013. There is also a second interpretation: the three figures—father, mother, and child—are trying to move the immovable water. Symbolizing "tackling the impossible."
