Quiver Tree Forest, giants' playground
The Quiver Tree Forest is an area northeast of Keetmanshoop that was declared a National Monument in 1955 and is home to around 250 Quiver Trees.
The cluster of Quivertree Forest Aloes, believed to be 200-300 years old and around 5 meters tall, is located at Quivertree Forest Rest Camp.
Incidentally, the quiver trees can be photographed particularly beautifully in the light of the rising or setting sun. You can also visit the Gigant's Playground on the same farm site. Here it looks as if giants were playing and building towers with the rocks.
