Take a deep breath and go on vacation. The sea, the vast land, the horizon, the healing climate. Health is literally in the air. Especially allergy sufferers feel at home here. The constant breeze that comes over the sea is low in pollutants and not polluted by pollen.

Swimming in sea water and sunbathing on the beach, but also lazing around and taking it easy. Walking on the seabed and enjoying a fantastic sunset in the evening. This is probably one of the main reasons to come to the North Sea in summer.

The small natural swimming area in the Westerkoog of Hedwigenkoog is often used by residents and guests looking for peace and quiet. The grazing sheep here have long since come to terms with the holidaymakers, who lie on the "lazy fur" here and follow the rhythm of the ebb and flow.

Playground with play equipment and table tennis, a soccer field on the edge of the dike, toilet and shower, a shelter and free parking spaces are available. The special thing about this bathing area is that you can take the stairs directly to the Wadden Sea or the North Sea, while 200 meters further you can see the border to the salt marshes in National Park Zone 1.

Recently, free beach chairs have also been set up at the bottom of the grass seam, which invite you to take a short rest protected from the wind and sun.
