Opened in 2013, this museum shows the operation >Overlord in its global context (chronology of the war, preparations, propaganda) and also puts the war in a clear context (farm, village shop) with war equipment, both from the Allies (Sherman, Haytrack tank ) as of the Germans (Panther tank, blacked-out caterpillar car). Most of the vehicles come from the collection of Michel Leloup, an avid collector who passed away in 2011. Throughout his life, Leloup searched all over France for vehicles from scrap metal dealers and farmers. With audio tapes, screens, front pages of newspapers from that time and information boards, you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the month of June 1944 during your visit.

One of hundreds museums and memorable sites of the Allied Liberation forces landing in 1944 along the Normandie coast. Some turned into a bit of a tourist trap, despite the important historic significance. This one has a good amount of information and exhibits visible outside.
