For more than 120 years, the "Villa Reichswald" restaurant has been a popular destination for tourists and people from the Lower Rhine region. On the edge of the Xanten and Marienbaumer Hochwald with 1100 hectares, the Villa Reichswald is located on one of the highest elevations of the Lower Rhine. Originally (built in 1887) it was a hotel, built by the Boxteler Eisenbahngesellschaft (NBDS)
