A memorial and a place of remembrance in one. At Rabbi Rülf Square, right by the steps leading down to the Saar River, "The Interrupted Forest" commemorates the Saarland Jews murdered during the Nazi era.
The inscription on one of the stones reads:
"The Interrupted Forest
Together with nature, it forms an interwoven whole. Natural forest and memorial forest. Harmonious yet contrasting.
