The Little Chapel is a Guernsey favourite - it was created in July 1914 by Brother Deodat, who planned to create a miniature version of the grotto and basilica at Lourdes. It is only 5m long and 3m wide! It is largely covered in seashells and is a major tourist attraction in the Island.

The chapel is very touching and so is the story behind it. But be careful, sometimes it's packed here. Better visit in the morning or evening and hurry away when a busload of cruise tourists arrives!

One of the island's biggest visitor magnets, so it's better to come back another time when it's very busy!
The beautiful little chapel with the small circular path is best enjoyed in peace and with some time to admire the endless details.
There's only room for a few people inside anyway. If you're lucky and it's quiet, it's a wonderful place to pause or say a prayer - or just marvel.
There are benches outside for a break and the opportunity to donate some money to the upkeep of the chapel
