Designed by the Prince of Wales, Poundbury is built on the land of the Duchy of Cornwall and has an eclectic mix of Georgian Houses. Prince Charles' vision back in the early 1990s was to create an eco-friendly model village where the principles of building a community and creating cohesion between the residents would be key. It's definitely worth a stroll through, and there are some great cafés here too – especially Finca in Buttermarket Square.
