From the Athabasca Landing Trail website: "A new Redwater Bridge 246, located near Half Moon Lake, was the first project completed under the ALT master plan. Though primarily intended for non-motorized recreational trail users, the new access-controlled, single lane bridge will also accommodate light local motor vehicle traffic. The bridge was completed in March 2010 and had its official opening on May 14, 2010. The first crossing of the bridge was by horse-drawn covered wagons to recreate the role the original 1905 bridge played in the historic Athabasca Landing Trail."
