The Pilgrim Monument in Triacastela is a significant place on the French Camino de Santiago. It is located near the public hostel and consists of a large stone monolith with a red sword cross and a smaller statue of a pilgrim carved in wood. The path that goes further north does it through San Xil, the Alto de Riocabo (900 meters) and Furela. It is a shorter route than the other, very rural, which runs along narrow paths in the middle of pastures and groves full of charm and natural flora. This is also the most common path in ancient times.
