If you pass through Verneuil-d'Avre-et-d'Iton on a hike, you cannot miss its center thanks to the remarkable tower of the Madeleine church. Visible from afar due to its 56 meters high, it stands out for its decorations reminiscent of the Butter Tower of Notre-Dame de Paris.

Emblematic monument the town of Verneuil s/Avre with its flamboyant Gothic style tower culminating at 56 meters. It can be seen from very far, and even beyond the limits of the canton. Some even say that in good weather you can see it from Chartres Cathedral... Stronger and further still, it would have inspired the architects of the Tribune Tower, Chicago's famous skyscraper.
